EIRENE, our company ‘s name was the personification of peace in Ancient Greece, and belonged to the Horae, goddesses of seasons and time. The Athenians had a high regard for Eirene and had erected altars in her honour. The original statue was destroyed, but there is a surviving copy; The statue symbolised that prosperity (Pluto) arrives when there is peace.
Eirene Associates.Int founder battle for human dignity and peace were the driving forces behind her initiatives for the last 15 years. As a student, she led student organizations to promote freedom, human dignity and prosperity. As a community organizer she helped promote equal access to education to marginalized communities and as a researcher she led and implemented projects to lift marginalized communities around the globe. With the support of her team she Co-founded a Think Tank in Morocco to counter transnational violence and help build peace in the Maghreb and Sahel region. With the help of her civil society partners she Co-founded the peace-building network to bring Civil society organizations working in different fields to promote sustainable peace.
After years of consultancies to International Development Agencies around the globe and working in the field in most complex environments Eirene s team decided to found Eirene Associates. Int which is the first international development company and consultancy firm in Morocco working on peace, stabilization, civilian security, good governance and international development at the national, regional and international level.
Eirene Associates.Int team propose a new model of development which focus on locally grown solutions like embracing rule of law, promoting entrepreneurship, investment, good governance and seek the precious balance between security which is too often threatened and human rights which are too often denied. With the help of government and non-government partners and network Eirene Associates.Int is able to implement this model.
Eirene is located in Kenitra, which means the Little Bridge in Arabic, it is a city located in northern Morocco. It is a port on the Sbu river and one of the three main cities of the Rabat-Sale- Kenitra region and the capital of Kenitra Province. During the Cold War Kenitra's U.S. Naval Air Facility served as a stopping point in North Africa. However, The history of the city begins with the foundation of a trading-post by the Phoenicians, known back then as Thamusida. Under the Antonine dynasty, a Venus temple was built there.
